Our Mission for Sleep Equity
Good sleep shouldn't be a privilege — yet for millions, it still is.
When we began designing Serapis, our research revealed scenes we could not ignore:
A single mother in Brooklyn trying to calm her child to sleep while street noise seeps through thin walls.
A family in Phoenix unable to rest through summer heat because air conditioning is a luxury they cannot afford.
A small farmer in Sub-Saharan Africa where nights stay unsafe and dark, and short sleep (≤6 hours) is the norm, not the exception.
And in many communities, nighttime noise regularly rises above 55 dB — loud enough to break sleep, night after night.
Meanwhile, other households enjoy quiet bedrooms, stable temperatures, natural morning light, and advanced sleep tools.
The difference was heartbreaking — and undeniable. And it shaped our mission from the very beginning:
A sleep device shouldn't only improve the life of the person who buys it.
It should help make sleep a little more equal for everyone.
Why We Give Back
Sleep is one of the most basic foundations of human health
The Sleep Inequality Challenge
Sleep is one of the most basic foundations of human health — yet access to sleep-supporting resources is wildly uneven.
Some communities are surrounded by constant noise. Some live under harsh artificial lighting that disrupts circadian rhythm. Some face heat waves without cooling. And many lack even the simplest essentials: blackout fabric, breathable bedding, or the knowledge of how light, sound, and temperature shape sleep.
If Serapis claims to represent "a better way to sleep," then contributing to global sleep equity must be part of that promise — not an afterthought, but a responsibility.
The Global Sleep Gap
Our 1% Promise
For every Serapis product sold, we donate 1% of its profit
White-Noise Tools
Providing devices to help families block disruptive night-time noise in high-traffic urban areas.
Light-Blocking Materials
Supplying blackout curtains and sleep masks for communities where streetlight glare is unavoidable.
Climate Stress Resources
Basic sleep resources for regions facing extreme heat, humidity, or unsafe nighttime environments.
Sleep Health Education
Educational programs in underserved neighborhoods about sleep hygiene and circadian rhythm management.
These are small interventions — but for many families, they mean the first uninterrupted night in years.
Every purchase directly supports someone who needs a calmer, safer night's rest.
Annual Transparency Report
We believe trust comes from clarity
That's why each year, we publish a public report detailing:
- How the 1% fund was allocated
- Which communities received support
- What measurable changes were created
- What needs remain for the next year
This isn't a marketing slogan. It's a long-term commitment embedded in the DNA of Serapis.
Your Purchase Creates Change
When you choose Serapis, you're doing more than improving your own sleep. You're helping someone, somewhere, sleep with dignity tonight — whether it's a mother in a noisy apartment block, a student in a crowded dorm, or a rural family facing unstable nighttime conditions.
Better sleep for you.
Fairer sleep for the world.
